6 Business Strategies To Get On Your Schedule for 2022

As we kick off the first week of the new year, it’s a fabbo time to add some do-able tasks to your schedule or calendar that you can get excited about– 6 Business Strategies For Wedding Pros. But, my friends, these are scheduling business strategies, not resolutions you made days before NYE that we all seldom know last through January.

This is the week to commit to making changes in your business to help with that ongoing work-life balance struggle. Leading up to this week, you probably wrapped up last year and made some notes of things you want to improve and set new goals. As you hear me often say, write it down and name it to claim it, right? Let’s set the tone for success and get these 6 possible things also on your schedules so you can see them right there on your to-do list and be accountable for the follow-through just as you do your other task on your list.

Passion for what we do or the entrepreneurial spirit leads most of us to be business owners, so let’s set our intentions that we will let that passion guide us not just on business growth but also personal development—starting the year with getting things scheduled that will lead us to less burnout and overwhelm.

Right now, this first week, get into the mindset that taking time off from your business is ok and start with these 6 possible things that might be good for ROI. Don’t be afraid to make these small changes that can and will significantly impact your work-life balance.

Be Fabbo Podcast Episode 64

I’m just sharing these 6 possible strategies today; how many more can you add?

  1. Your Health, physical and mental. Give your Health or self-care scheduling the respect you give a client meeting. Block off your workout, yoga, etc. Prioritize your doctor visits and routine checkups.

Designate that lunch break or walk on your schedule and mark it as a Do Not Disturb and do that with your phone notifications too. Step away for a length of time during the day or in short increments to let your brain and creative juices rest and recharge. Move around your office, get off the chair and stand up often. Think about eating well and getting proper sleep. Feeling well physically and mentally and the task it takes to do so need to be placed on your schedule, so take the time to get them listed firmly on your schedule. When you are in good health and feel good about yourself, having this self-esteem is a business strategy not to be overlooked.

Get excited about scheduling self-care and making time for your health.

  1. Start a hobby or new interest you are passionate about.  Get lost in researching something other than your business you could start doing, just for fun, not as a moneymaker. Yes, I know we as entrepreneurs tend to see things that way, and your new hobby could lead to another business or addition to your current one. However, I encourage you to approach this as an activity you can do alone, as a family activity, or in a group, maybe expand your circle of contacts. (that will make you feel better for taking time off, potential clients, right?

Find something that challenges you differently than your business. Maybe make time to get back to reading, not necessarily business books, but topics or stories from a new author, and let your imagination help you escape the day-to-day. Love live music that is not wedding band-related, follow the local music scene, and support fellow creatives and fellow small local businesses as you get entertained.

Get excited about finding other things that you are passionate about than just how you make a living and do with others than just your team or employees.

  1. Weekly or monthly dates as a couple or family. Make sure that on your to-do list schedule, you have time marked off for dates with your significant other and try in some months to get both planned and on the agenda.  I know some months are our busy season, and our families and friends are used to us being less accessible, so that is why we need to make sure date and family or friend time is a priority when we can. These scheduled dates or family time off are necessary to grow our relationships, give attention to our loved ones, and close that gap on that work-life balance. Our relationship is more substantial when we prioritize these dates in early scheduling planning. These VIPS in our personal life are some of our biggest cheerleaders for our business, so schedule the time to celebrate your success with them regularly.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Get excited about mixing in scheduled personal time to bring business and personal growth

  1. Define and set your priorities. This week gather all those critical not-to-be-miss events for both personal and business. Then, mark off that time so you show up and are fully present. Suppose it’s a kid’s school play or sporting activity or a business workshop or conference; define these events throughout the year and set them as a priority. Knowing in advance allows you to prepare and make business decisions for your time away adequately. Defining and setting priorities now at the start of the year is an important business strategy. When you take the time to schedule these priorities, you’ll be stepping closer to that work-life balance.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Get  excited by starting the year knowing you set yourself up for what is important to you in your business and life during the year
  1. Commit to doing something you haven’t tried. Be brave, make some waves, and take a more considerable risk than in years past. Bet on yourself that you have that grit and determination to break some new sales records, increase your profits and make a significant impact with your purpose. I now challenge you to do this in your life as well. Book that extended vacation go skydiving, become a certified scuba diver, whatever fires up your soul. When you set goals on your schedule that have you excited, it’s a bonus motivation to put the work into work. That reignites your passion and energizes you personally and professionally.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Get excited about doing something you have been putting off; this year, set aside your fears, and go for it.
  1. Show up and show off. This year, commit to creating your best work or services. Deliver an even superb customer experience. Let your work make noise and allow others to say, oh hey there. It’s ok to be your biggest cheerleader, maybe more this year than last. Look at each event or client with a new sense of excitement and find ways to stay motivated to be fabbo as you Strive to excel at your business this year. Lead with kindness and compassion and continue to show up authentically all year; make this part of your business plan and goals. Be confident in knowing you have what it takes to have a profitable and purposeful business and say yes to the clients, things, and people who bring you joy. Leave it all at the events and head home to your family, friends, or pets and celebrate that you deserve the business and life you are creating.

Get excited and be prepared to do everything you can to live your best life and continue to grow your business starting right now.
